Cisco, Juniper et al aren’t going to be smiling about this one:
“Huawei even has been pinpointed as a potential buyer of Nortel’s Metro Ethernet Networks (MEN) unit; purchasing that division would give Huawei instant access to even more North American market share. But Huawei is privately held and hasn’t indicated whether it might pursue the Nortel MEN acquisition.”
The Chinese vendor has been growing steadily over the last few years, despite early controversy about their products. More at xchange.
